NDE is a belgian duo that make some super intense and moody black metal/death industrial. Programmed and/or sampled drums are used to their fullest potential to provide the martial beats underneath grating synths and super riffy, yet atmospheric, guitars. The vocals range from european-dictatoresque yelling and shouting to full on hellish shrieks, all recorded ultra lo-fi and distorted...no, decimated...with plenty of feedback filtering in. 'Krieg Blut Ehre Asche' came out in 2009, I first heard it in 2010, and have recently rediscovered how incredible this album is. I hope I don't forget about it again until next year.

Sol Y Nieve
First, sorry i haven't been posting much, life is hectic (blah blah blah). Second, my next couple of posts are going to be kind of self-indulgent, so please excuse me. I run a small tape label called Sol Y Nieve and i figure it's only fair i share all of my releases with you. If you feel like buying the actual product, please go here.

Monument - I: Atmospheric, experimental, mystical black metal.

Ten Thousand Miles of Arteries - Exorsa: Blackened industrial power electronics. Side A is the demo from 2006 called Holy Monuments. Side B is the demo from 2008 called The West Was Nothing but a Dead Beast.

Teeth Engraved With the Names of the Dead - Kosmiche Death Worship: Drone/doom/death noise from Oakland. My first release that isn't one of my bands. Really, really amazing and scary drone.

Aderlating: Devotional Hymns
Aderlating is the more ambient side project of Mories (Gnaw Their Tongues, De Magia Veterum). Be warned, though, that it is far from calming. It's just as disturbing as GTT, just less bombastic. It's great reading music. Or ritual musick. Or whatever you choose to do with your time. Just listen to this.

The West was Nothing...
I just finished compiling and mixing an old TTMOA demo, "The West was Nothing but a Dead Beast". The recordings are from february of 2008. They make up half of the the new TTMOA demo compilation tape i'll be putting out soon called "Exorsa". They're not fully mastered or anything yet, but they're available to listen to/download over at the last.fm site here.

Gnaw Their Tongues - An Epiphanic Vomiting of Blood

I've already posted one Gnaw Their Tongues album back in july. I didn't know how to properly describe it then, and i still don't. It's pure terror. Slow and fast at the same time. Complete depravity. Totally disturbing and awe-some. Or awe-ful.

Andrew Wilkes-Krier
These are the two best releases by Andrew Wilkes-Krier:

"Ancient Art of Boar - Terrestrial Optical Resonance Resistors" is total mid-nineties style noise. Over-blown recordings of metal on metal banging, weird outsider keyboards, and some electronics with a teenaged Andrew yelling about something on top of it. Harsh and improvised, but full of fantastic subtleties that seems to be lost on this current generation of bored suburban noise makers.
Screee!

This record is the most fun you will ever have in your life. I can't stress that enough.

Ten Thousand Miles of Arteries - Holy Monuments E.P.

This is an album i made in 2006. I never properly released it, i just gave it to some friends. Hopefully i'll make some real copies soon enough and then you can say that you heard it way before your friends did and that's what makes you so much cooler than them.
Wold - Screech Owl

Here's some more wintery blackness for you. Unlike the the haunting beauty of Paysage D'hiver's music, though, Wold gives nothing but the harshest winds blowing straight into your frostbitten face. Sure, sounds interesting now, but Wold is definitely not for everyone. In fact, most people kinda hate them. That being said, they're one of my favorite bands. Decide for yourself.
